Digital Bangladesh
Digital Bangladesh means it will be an e-state, all of its activities- like governance, commerce, education, agriculture etc. will be powered by computer and internet.
Today the entire world is gradually becoming a digital planet. Almost every state is heading towards a knowledge based society. The present government is trying its best to make an ICT driven society in Bangladesh.
The government has assured to build a ‘Digital Bangladesh’ where people will get a developed life, corruption and misrule- free society, and face the challenges of the 21st century.
A very first step for ‘Digital Bangladesh’ would be to spread the ICT education throughout the country. Every primary and secondary student should have access to the computer and computer based education. Bangladesh as a country with 160 million people has huge potential, despite having many problems. It is very important to create skilled manpower educated in science and technology.
It is the expectation of the mass people that government will take all possible steps to create a SMART (Simple, Measurable, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent) ‘Digital Bangladesh’ and establish a knowledge based society within 50Years of her independence in 2021.If the leaders of our country objectively guide this generation, they can do wonder for the nation.

ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ মানে এটি একটি ই-রাষ্ট্র হবে, এর সমস্ত কার্যক্রম যেমন- শাসন, বাণিজ্য, শিক্ষা, কৃষি ইত্যাদি কম্পিউটার এবং ইন্টারনেট দ্বারা চালিত হবে।
আজ সমগ্র বিশ্ব ধীরে ধীরে ডিজিটাল গ্রহে পরিণত হচ্ছে। প্রায় প্রতিটি রাষ্ট্রই জ্ঞানভিত্তিক সমাজের দিকে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে। বর্তমান সরকার বাংলাদেশে একটি আইসিটি চালিত সমাজ গড়তে সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে যাচ্ছে।
সরকার একটি ‘ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ’ গড়ার আশ্বাস দিয়েছে যেখানে মানুষ উন্নত জীবন, দুর্নীতি ও দুঃশাসনমুক্ত সমাজ পাবে এবং একবিংশ শতাব্দীর চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবেলা করবে।
‘ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ’-এর জন্য প্রথম পদক্ষেপ হবে আইসিটি শিক্ষাকে সারা দেশে ছড়িয়ে দেওয়া। প্রত্যেক প্রাথমিক ও মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষার্থীর কম্পিউটার ও কম্পিউটার ভিত্তিক শিক্ষার সুযোগ থাকতে হবে। ১৬ কোটি জনসংখ্যার দেশ হিসেবে বাংলাদেশে অনেক সমস্যা থাকা সত্ত্বেও বিপুল সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিতে শিক্ষিত দক্ষ জনশক্তি তৈরি করা খুবই জরুরি।
2021 সালে তার স্বাধীনতার 50 বছরের মধ্যে একটি স্মার্ট (সরল, পরিমাপযোগ্য, জবাবদিহিমূলক, প্রতিক্রিয়াশীল এবং স্বচ্ছ) ‘ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ’ গঠন এবং একটি জ্ঞানভিত্তিক সমাজ প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য সরকার সম্ভাব্য সকল পদক্ষেপ নেবে এটাই গণমানুষের প্রত্যাশা। আমাদের দেশের নেতারা এই প্রজন্মকে উদ্দেশ্যমূলকভাবে পথ দেখান, তারা জাতির জন্য বিস্ময়কর কাজ করতে পারেন।
